Joinery – Assistant Manager

Full Time

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join a leading, well established joinery company based in Cambridge.

Job Role

The role is based within our Joinery Department who offer custom made joinery solutions to private,
commercial and public sector clients. We operate from one of the most modern and well equipped
joinery workshops in the East of England where we design and manufacture bespoke joinery. We
complete a diverse range of projects ranging from minor repairs to manufacturing bespoke items for
projects valued at £1m+. This is an exciting opportunity; the successful candidate will benefit from working on a wide range of projects as we look to increase our turnover. The role includes assisting
the Joinery Manager in all aspects of running the department to ensure that customers’ needs are
met on time and within budget.

experience & qualifications

A good knowledge of building industry practices, processes and requirements.
Ability to read and assess technical drawings.
The ability to assist with sourcing materials and estimates as required.
Maintain a tidy and efficient workshop.
Ability to work to timescales and under pressure.
Excellent attention to detail.
Possess a good level of practical skill in the use of Microsoft Office packages and Company specific software.
