Bridge End Gardens

Visitors Centre, Bridge End Gardens, Saffron Walden

This was a Design and Build project using traditional construction methods. The project was for the demolition of the dilapidated existing building and the construction of a high quality visitor’s centre. Coulson Building Group were aware of their responsibilities towards the environment and thus endeavoured to recycle as much of the demolished building as possible.

By working closely with our design partners, we were able to successfully construct a building that is bright and welcoming ensuring that visitors are able to experience the beauty of the gardens. The centre is designed to complement its surroundings including the listed wall that runs in close proximity to the rear of the building. Coulson strived to ensure minimal disturbance to the local wildlife and public, who were able to utilise the gardens during the construction period.

With careful planning, good quality control procedures and using the experience gained at Wrest Park and Wandlebury Ring we were able to ensure a satisfactory completion of outstanding quality.
